in 2009 Zetalink will launch a Solar Energy Products Division which will produce PhotoVoltaic (PV) panels and develop additional support products for harvesting and utilisation of solar energy for domestic and commercial applications.

The target market is the developing areas of Indonesia which in many isolated areas have no access to electric power due to the high cost of transmission into remote areas. Often the cost to install solar electric power is less than the infrastructure costs to deliver centralised power to these areas. As the cost for solar power continues to decline while fossil-fuel costs--especially when the carbon emission aspects are considered--continues to rise, this is the only sane and responsible direction to go.
